Our Story

We are three sisters—Tenzin Dolma Gyalpo, Tenzin Yega Gyalpo, and Tenzin Zomkey Gyalpo—and the creators behind ByGyalpo.

Today, we live in three different countries—India, the United States, and Canada. ByGyalpo bridges those miles. It's how we remind ourselves of home, how we share pieces of our heritage with the people we love, and how we build something meaningful together despite the distance.

As Tibetan refugees, in a world where Tibetans are losing our voice, we want to share ours through our craft and creations for your everyday life. Our work is influenced by Himalayan culture — the colors, symbols, and stories we grew up with — and our shared experience living in different countries and experiencing new cultures.

We are inspired by Buddhist teachings of interconnectedness, the small pauses in life, the feeling of contentment, peace, and calm in the chaos of a city. Designing through this lens keeps us grounded in where we come from while helping us navigate who we're becoming. Every piece we make carries a bit of that hope: that small, thoughtful objects can bring warmth and connection into your everyday life.

Thank you for being here. It means more than we can say.

With hope and gratitude,

ByGyalpo Sisters
